NBC’s long-running cleaning soap opera Days of Our Lives can be leaving broadcast tv after 57 years on to stream solely on Peacock, the community introduced on Wednesday. The change signifies that followers who beforehand have been in a position to watch the present at no cost on broadcast will now need to pay for a streaming service to be taught what occurs subsequent within the present’s fictional city of Salem. New episodes of Days of Our Lives will debut starting September twelfth.

“With a large percentage of the Days of Our Lives audience already watching digitally, this move enables us to build the show’s loyal fanbase on streaming while simultaneously bolstering the network daytime offering with an urgent, live programming opportunity for partners and consumers,” Mark Lazarus, chairman of NBCUniversal Tv and Streaming, mentioned in a press launch.

The change strikes one other stalwart of broadcast tv solely to streaming. In April, Disney introduced that it could be bringing Dancing With the Stars to Disney Plus, and simply mentioned on Wednesday that season 31 can be premiering on September nineteenth. NBC has already debuted two seasons of a Days of Our Lives spinoff titled Past Salem on Peacock.
