Over 1,000 workers and contractors at Activision Blizzard have now signed and published a petition to take away CEO Bobby Kotick from the corporate, doubling the variety of signatures because the petition was made public.
“We, the undersigned, no longer have confidence in the leadership of Bobby Kotick as the CEO of Activision Blizzard. The information that has come to light about his behaviors and practices in the running of our companies runs counter to the culture and integrity we require of our leadership—and directly conflicts with the initiatives started by our peers. We ask that Bobby Kotick remove himself as CEO of Activision Blizzard, and that shareholders be allowed to select the new CEO without the input of Bobby, who we are aware owns a substantial portion of the voting rights of the shareholders.”
In a stunning transfer, the petition goes on to record the names, titles, and departments of the employees, which may doubtlessly expose the signatories to retaliation.
The petition comes days after a bombshell report alleging Kotick knew about, enabled, and even participated in a tradition of misconduct and harassment that has drawn the eye of presidency authorities. In response, the corporate’s board of administrators issued an announcement saying it might proceed to assist Kotick, at the same time as a small group of shareholders demanded his removing.
This petition is the most recent improvement in a collection of worker-led actions in opposition to the corporate, which now consists of two walkouts and the formation of an worker advocacy group, A Higher ABK. Since we first revealed this story, A Higher ABK has shared a hyperlink to a second petition to take away Kotick that it’s asking supporters to signal. As of this writing, it has greater than 2,600 signatures.

We’ve had a number of folks reaching out and asking what they will do to be an energetic supporter of ABK Employee’s Alliance. As workers transfer to signal a petition calling for the removing of Bobby Kotick, we name for our supporters to signal a petition of their very own— ABetterABK ABK Employees Alliance (@ABetterABK) November 18, 2021
